Southern Grounds Landscape Management
Lawn Mowing
Your lawn should be mowed as regularly as once a week or every other week during the main growing seasons: April – October. In most situations, a mowing height of 2 to 3 inches is ideal; cutting the grass too short can leave you with other problems. If you live in a warm weather climate, you may find that you have to mow a couple of times during the winter to keep a healthy lawn. Our crew at Southern Grounds is here so that you don’t have to remember to cut your lawn. We schedule weekly or bi-weekly appointments so that your grass is always looking good!
Let Southern Grounds Help You:
Prior to mowing we watch for trash and tree limbs or other obstructions. Turf will be completely and evenly mowed at a height most suitable for the species and sites specific needs. In areas we cannot reach with the lawnmower, we will weed eat the turf to the height of the adjacent turf. We do not bag grass clippings. Turf grass research shows that by using proper mowers, it is better to return the clippings back to the turf for nutritional replenishment. This process is called grass cycling and it’s a tremendous help to our environment.
*We ask that you please have all animal feces removed from the turf prior to cutting. This will prevent the spread of diseases from property to property.

Key Benefits of Lawn Mowing
The benefits to mowing are often overlooked, but it’s important not to forget why you go through the trouble each week. Of course, aesthetic purposes are the most obvious reason for why mowing is essential, but there’s more than what meets the eye.
